How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Production Line Leader

    Desborough, Northamptonshire
    Permanent | Full-Time
    Monday to Friday | Rotating Shifts (6:00am-2:00pm & 2:00pm-10:00pm)

    Are you an experienced Production Team Leader, Line Leader or Senior Production Operative looking for your next challenge?

    We're looking for a hands-on Production Line Leader to join a busy manufacturing team in Desborough. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a production line, lead a team, and play a key role in achieving production, quality and safety targets.

    What you'll be doing

    Leading and motivating a production team to achieve daily production targets.
    Ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
    Monitoring production performance and addressing any issues that could affect output.
    Maintaining product traceability and completing all production documentation accurately.
    Supporting the training and development of new and existing team members.
    Assisting with the development of staff skills and maintaining a skills matrix.
    Reducing waste and improving production efficiency.
    Promoting a strong health and safety culture across the production line.
    Working closely with Production and Quality teams to ensure customer specifications are met.

    What we're looking for

    Previous experience as a Production Line Leader, Team Leader or Supervisor within a manufacturing or production environment.
    Strong communication and leadership skills.
    The ability to motivate and develop a team.
    A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
    Good organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
    Knowledge of health and safety and quality procedures within manufacturing.

    Shift Pattern

    Monday to Friday
    Weekly shifts:
    6:00am - 2:00pm
    OR
    2:00pm - 10:00pm
