How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    DIAGNOSTIC TECHNICIAN
    Location: Weymouth
    Salary: Up to £36,000 Basic Salary + Bonus
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm | No Weekend Working

    THE ROLE
    As a Diagnostic Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out advanced diagnostics, servicing, and repair work while ensuring every vehicle is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
    Key responsibilities include:
    ·Diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults
    ·Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repair work
    ·Using manufacturer diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify vehicle issues
    ·Supporting fellow technicians with technical guidance when required
    ·Completing repairs efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality standards
    ·Accurately completing workshop documentation and job cards
    ·Ensuring all work complies with manufacturer and health & safety standards
    ·Delivering excellent customer satisfaction through first-time fix quality
     
    ABOUT YOU
    We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
    ·Previous experience as a Diagnostic Technician within the automotive industry
    ·NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
    ·Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
    ·Experience using modern manufacturer diagnostic equipment
    ·A genuine desire to continue learning and progressing within the industry
    ·Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
    ·A positive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
    ·Full UK Manual Driving Licence (subject to licence checks)
