How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Job People are looking for Warehouse Operatives to join a busy distribution centre in Crick.

    We require candidates with Order Picking & Packing experience using RF Scanners.

    Must be able to read & understand English.

    This is a full time role only. Long term work. 37.5 hours per week minimum.

    Overtime paid daily after 8 hours

    Shifts will be between 5 shifts picked Monday - Saturday

    06.00 - 14.30

    (we may require 5am starts, occasional later finishes to support the business)

    We will also require candidates with experience on Fork lift, PPT Trucks, Counterbalance FLT and use of hand scannersas well as a warehouse operative

    In-house & Expired Licences accepted as long as you have some recent experience. We will assess and refresh internally.

    We are looking for hardworking, enthusiastic colleagues who are willing to work long term with the opportunity to gain a full-time contract.

    Self-Motivated, Friendly.

    Able to effectively communicate with managers and colleagues.

    Have a 'can-do' attitude and willing to carry out some other warehouse duties when required

    Must pass a pre employment drug test.

    Shift Hours as a Warehouse Operative:

    Fixed day shift
    8 hours per day
    Includes weekends
    6am till 2pm
    £13.21 per hour
    Weekend support required in busy periods
    Long term work
    Opportunity to go permanent after a qualifying period.Pay Rates for Warehouse Operative:

    £13.21 per hour (increases with service)
    Overtime paid after 8 hours daily Duties as a Warehouse Operative in Crick:

    Support the warehouse facility order picking & packing using RF Scanners
    Ensuring accuracy make sure no mistakes are made.
    Moving pallets and stock to various locations
    Support with loading and unloading deliveries.
    Use of scanners and labelling machines.
    General duties as and when required.
