How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Production Line Manager - Food Manufacturing

    Location:Stoke-On-Trent
    Salary: Up to £42,000 DOE
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
    Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

    About the Role

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Line Manager to join a well-established food manufacturing business. This role is ideal for a motivated and hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about delivering operational excellence.

    You will be responsible for leading production teams, ensuring daily targets are achieved safely and efficiently, maintaining the highest quality and food safety standards, and driving continuous improvement across the production operation.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead and develop production teams to achieve operational excellence
    Manage daily production schedules to meet customer demand and business objectives
    Ensure full compliance with food safety, quality, and health & safety regulations
    Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste
    Monitor KPIs including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), efficiency, yields, labour utilisation, and downtime
    Work closely with Engineering, Technical, Planning, and other departments to optimise production performance
    Manage staffing levels, training, and employee development
    Promote a positive, collaborative, and high-performance working culture
    Ensure excellent housekeeping standards and compliance with HACCP, BRCGS, and food safety procedures
    Identify and implement improvements across production processes
    Support problem-solving activities and root cause analysis
    About You

    Previous experience as a Production Line Manager, Shift Manager, or Production Manager within a food manufacturing environment
    Strong leadership and people management skills
    A proven track record of improving production performance and team engagement
    Excellent understanding of HACCP, BRCGS, food safety, and quality standards
    Experience managing KPIs and driving continuous improvement
    Strong planning, organisational, and decision-making abilities
    Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
    A proactive, hands-on management style with the ability to motivate and develop teams
