How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Contracts Manager - Responsive Repairs & Voids

    Location: Yeovil office, covering Bristol, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Somerset and Wiltshire
    Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week

    The Role

    Our client is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to manage the delivery of responsive repairs and void works within a Social Housing environment.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation where you can make a real impact on service delivery, customer satisfaction, and team performance. You will lead a team of Site Managers, ensuring contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

    You will oversee responsive repairs and void works, ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and with a strong focus on quality, compliance, and Health & Safety.

    The successful candidate will be client-facing and have extensive experience managing responsive repairs and voids within Social Housing. The team currently delivers approximately 65 responsive repairs per day and 12 void properties per week, providing a varied role with the opportunity to make a significant impact.

    You will also support continuous improvement, build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, and help deliver social value within the communities served.

    Key Responsibilities

    As Contracts Manager, you will:

    Lead and support Site Managers, subcontractors, and operational teams

    Ensure contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, and to client expectations

    Monitor progress, costs, quality, and programme performance

    Ensure contract documentation and reports are completed accurately and on time

    Attend client meetings to review performance and future works planning

    Maintain strong client relationships

    Monitor KPIs, work in progress, and operational performance

    Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, quality, and contractual requirements

    About You

    You will be an experienced Contracts Manager with a background delivering responsive repairs and void works within Social Housing.

    You will have experience managing internal and external works, leading teams, and delivering high-quality services for customers and clients.

    Ideally, you will hold SMSTS or an equivalent qualification/NVQ. If this has expired, support will be available to renew it. Your experience, knowledge, and ability to successfully manage contracts are key.

    You will be:

    Experienced in responsive repairs and void contracts

    A confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills

    Commercially aware and focused on delivery

    A proactive team leader who can motivate and support others

    Organised and solutions-focused

    You will also need:

    A full UK driving licence, as travel to sites will be required

    The ability to successfully complete a DBS check
