How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    A leading manufacturing business in York is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to carry out planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. The role requires strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills, manufacturing experience, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement and equipment performance.

    Or client are an established manufacturing business based in York who are looking for a skilled and motivated Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join their successful engineering team.

    Description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving a variety of production and site equipment to ensure maximum reliability, efficiency, and safety.

    This role requires both electrical and mechanical maintenance experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
    Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults.
    Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance.
    Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards.
    Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

    Profile

    The successful candidate will have;
    A recognised engineering qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled discipline).
    Previous maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
    Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
    The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    A flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns.

    Job Offer

    Salary is ranging up to £55,000 per annum.
    This is a day shift based role however, they are looking for someone who will be open to a mixture of day and night shifts
