How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Part Time HR Business Partner (9-Month FTC) | Denham

Hours: Part-Time (3 days per week)

    Contract Type: 9-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Partner it. Transform it. Trust it with lives!

Advance your career in a role where strategic people partnering meets real-world, life-saving impact. As an HR Business Partner within our central Human Resources department at Denham, you will join an ambitious, high-performing function dedicated to supporting our global workforce. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional looking for a flexible, part-time arrangement across a 9-month fixed-term contract. From complex case resolution to workforce planning, your commercial acumen and data insight will directly support the world-class engineering teams who design and build the ultimate lifelines in aerospace safety.

Direct Impact, Global Scale. Life-Saving Mission.

At Martin-Baker, the work we do matters. We design, manufacture and support life-saving equipment used by aircrew around the world. Our products operate in demanding environments, where quality, reliability and attention to detail are critical.

We’re proud of our long history in aerospace and defence, also focused on the future. Joining Martin-Baker means becoming part of a business with a clear purpose, strong engineering capability and a long-term commitment to its people, products and customers.

Whether you work in engineering, operations, commercial, finance, supply chain or support functions, your contribution helps deliver equipment that protects lives. It is challenging work, but it is also meaningful, and with over 7,700 lives saved, it gives our people the opportunity to be part of something with real impact.

Reporting directly to the Group VP of Human Resources, you will step into an influential advisory role with a clear mandate: to align people strategy directly with business objectives across designated corporate and engineering areas. Working 3 days per week, you will act as a trusted confidant and strategic partner to senior leaders, driving organisational effectiveness, proactive change management, and heightened employee engagement.

This is a premier fixed-term opportunity for a data-driven, commercially minded HR professional. In this position, you will be given the autonomy to shape workforce plans, manage complex employee relations, and deputise for Senior HR Business Partners where required. It is an ideal role for a senior practitioner who thrives on immediate operational impact, clear data analytics, and steering businesses through transformational change.

    * Manager Self-Service & Coaching: Champion manager self-service through the optimized use of HRIS tools and guidance, while actively coaching leadership teams on independent employee relations handling and team development.

    * Strategic Projects & Policy Integration: Support the development, refinement, and implementation of high-priority HR policies and strategic people projects aligned with the Martin-Baker mission.

    What We’re Looking For

    * Proven HRBP Experience: Substantial, practical experience operating as an HR Business Partner within a complex corporate structure or busy operational function.

    * Employment Law & ER Mastery: A comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law with a proven track record of independently managing complex employee relations cases.

    * Analytical & Systems Literacy: High proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and insight generation using core tools (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word) alongside direct experience utilizing modern HRIS platforms.

    * Stakeholder Management & Influencing: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to confidently challenge, coach, and influence senior leaders and multi-disciplinary management teams.

    * Manufacturing or Engineering Sector Insight (Desirable): Prior experience navigating the operational rhythms and compliance requirements of a high-integrity manufacturing or complex engineering setting is a distinct advantage.

    * Analytics Tool Development (Desirable): Prior experience developing bespoke HR dashboards or utilising specialised data analytics/coaching tools.
