What You'll Be Doing
Delivering creative and highly personalised lessons that meet individual learning needs.
Creating engaging learning experiences that develop communication, independence, and confidence.
Using innovative strategies including sensory learning, visual supports, structured routines, and alternative communication methods.
Supporting pupils to achieve meaningful outcomes outlined within their EHCPs.
Working closely with teaching assistants to provide an outstanding learning experience.
Assessing and celebrating progress through small-step achievements.
Building positive relationships with pupils, families, therapists, and external professionals.
Promoting emotional wellbeing, personal development, and social interaction.
Creating a classroom culture where every pupil feels safe, respected, and able to achieve.
Who We're Looking For
You may already be an experienced SEND Teacher, or perhaps you're a mainstream teacher looking to bring your skills into specialist education.
Most importantly, you'll be someone who:
Has a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
Believes every learner can succeed when given the right support.
Brings patience, creativity, resilience, and positivity to the classroom.
Has experience working with SEND pupils or a strong desire to develop within specialist education.
Can adapt teaching approaches to meet a diverse range of learning needs.
Enjoys collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a wider team around the child.
Holds QTS or relevant teaching experience.
