How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A well-established and growing regional contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. Operating across North Wales, the business delivers a diverse portfolio of projects across the Public & Private sectors, working alongside local authorities, housing providers and public sector organisations.

With a strong reputation for quality, collaboration and long-term client relationships, the company is experiencing continued growth and offers an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in the successful delivery of projects across the region.

We're keen to speak with commercially minded Quantity Surveyors who can demonstrate a track record of delivering successful outcomes on construction projects.

    You will have:

Experience managing the commercial aspects of construction projects independently
A solid understanding of cost control, procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts
Working knowledge of both NEC and JCT forms of contract
The ability to build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and project teams
Strong commercial awareness coupled with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
Excellent planning, organisation and reporting skills
A relevant Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent industry experience
    A full UK driving licence
If you're an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to join a respected contractor with a strong pipeline of work across North Wales, we'd like to hear from you
