How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Technical Engineer (Domestic Boilers & Heating)

    Location: South East England (Field-Based)
    Job Type: Full-Time
    Salary: £35,000-£40,000 (depending on experience) + £150 per Saturday rota payment

    About the Role

    We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Technical Engineer to join our Technical Services team. This field-based role involves providing on-site fault-finding, servicing and breakdown support for domestic boilers and hot water systems across the South East.

    You'll also provide technical support via a dedicated helpline on a rota basis and work alongside the sales team to support installer events, product demonstrations and technical training.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced heating engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges while delivering exceptional customer service.

    Key Responsibilities

    Diagnose and repair faults on domestic boilers and hot water products at customer premises.

    Provide technical support through the telephone helpline as part of a weekday and Saturday rota.

    Support sales activities, including installer visits, trade events, demonstrations and technical presentations.

    Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, installers and service partners.

    Monitor and support local service agents to ensure high service standards and appropriate stock levels.

    Deliver product training to installers and service agents through presentations and live demonstrations.

    Resolve customer issues efficiently and professionally.

    Share technical feedback and contribute ideas to support continuous product and service improvements.

    About You

    To be successful in this role, you'll have:

    Proven experience diagnosing and repairing domestic boiler faults (ideally five or more years).

    Current ACS Core and Boiler qualifications (CCN1 and CENWAT).

    Oil heating qualifications (essential).

    A full UK driving licence.

    Residence within or close to the South East region.

    Strong customer service and communication skills.

    Good IT skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    Desirable

    Air Source Heat Pump experience or qualification.

    F-Gas Category 1 certification.
