Key Responsibilities
* Ensure project procedures comply with health and safety legislation, industry standards and company policies.
* Monitor health and safety performance across engineering, energy and facilities management projects.
* Provide expert health and safety advice and support to project and operational teams.
* Carry out site inspections, audits and risk assessments, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
* Oversee the safe management of subcontractors and project activities.
* Lead investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses, implementing preventative measures.
* Prepare and present health and safety reports and performance data to senior management.
* Deliver health and safety inductions, training and awareness programmes.
* Support project teams in achieving health and safety objectives while promoting best practice.
* Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders to drive a positive health and safety culture.
Experience
* Previous Health & Safety experience within construction, M&E, engineering or project-based environments.
* Experience working on CDM projects.
* Good understanding of current health and safety legislation and statutory compliance.
* Working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
* Flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to support a variety of projects and operational activities.
Qualifications
* NEBOSH General Certificate and/or NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
* NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
* GradIOSH or equivalent professional membership is desirable.
* ISO Auditing Qualification would be beneficial
* Full UK Drivers Licence
