How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Client: Our client is a M&E Contractor who have been operating for 20+ years and specialise in the Commercial Office Fit Out sector (Cat A / Cat B). They stereotypically take on HVAC and plumbing systems, Electrical design and installation, Structured cabling and network infrastructure and Building services maintenance and support. All projects tend to be fast paced and value between £100k - £1m.
    Role: Mechanical Site Manager - East London - Circa £290 - £310 Per Day
    Reporting into the Lead Project Manager, the Mechanical Site Manager is responsible for managing all day to day on site mechanical installation works. You should be competent and confident of your ability to coordinate with other trades, ensuring that any issues arising are rectified without additional obstruction of other trades and ensuring the concept designer’s aesthetics are not compromised. You’re responsible for ensuring very high standards.
    The project is a full Cat B office fit out in East London.
    Responsibilities:
    * Weekly inspections completed, scanned in and uploaded into the project H&S folder.
    * Inductions of all staff and PPE issue logs scanned and uploaded into project H&S folder.
    * Ability to read and interpret drawings but also cross reference between other services, General Arrangement drawings, RCPs, ensuring to maintain height requirements.
    * All permits through site manager - opening and closing as required. Applied for the week ahead if possible (hot works, steps, access etc).
    * Use of Hammertech, Procore or other client H&S management software will be your responsibility.
    * Must keep site diary/take notes daily for personal reference of incidents, installation, progress, staff quantities, key delivery dates, delivery issues.
    * First contact for deliveries - must check to ensure delivery is all present.
    * You will be expected to study and understand every aspect of the project and scope so that you can be confident in your ability to carry out your works independently and answer sub contractors questions, cross referencing drawings with the quantities on the quote.
    * Progress meetings.
    * Bring your trade specific skills and knowledge to the table and advise wherever possible of methodology.
    * Site and design coordination meetings.
    * H&S folder up to date each week.
    * PPE managed – keep inventory and issue log.
    * Ensure all mechanical staff respect rules and keep their works and work areas tidy. Including their tool and material storage.
