How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client, a renowned player in the aerospace industry, is currently seeking skilled Manufacturing Engineer's to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working in the Assembly and Test area, requiring a comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing processes and a good grasp of LAIRS (Layered Assembly Instructions and Requirements) and FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports) processes.

    Contract Details:

    Contract length: until end Feb 2027
    Multiple opportunities available
    Payment term: PAYE only
    Rates: DOE
    Accural or advanced holiday payment options
    Standard 37hrs per week
    Monday to Friday, with early finish Fridays
    Onsite full -time

    Key Responsibilities:

    Overseeing and coordinating manufacturing processes within the Assembly and Test areas
    Implementing and maintaining LAIRS and FAIRs processes
    Ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations
    Identifying and resolving production-related issues
    Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to optimise manufacturing operations
    Creating and updating manufacturing documentation and work instructions
    Conducting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency
    Providing technical support and guidance to the production team

    Job Requirements:

    Experience in manufacturing engineering, particularly within the aerospace sector
    Understanding of LAIRS and FAIRs processes
    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
    Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements
    Excellent communication and organisational skills
    Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
