Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Hours: 7am to 4:15pm (Monday to Thursday) and 7am to 12pm (Friday)

About the Role
Our client, a well-established and innovative manufacturer, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembler to support their New Product Introduction (NPI) team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment, contributing to the assembly, modification, and development of new products before they enter full-scale production.
Working from technical drawings, work instructions, and verbal guidance, you will assemble and rework electronic and electro-mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and finished units while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, modify, test, and rework electronic and electro-mechanical components and assemblies.
Follow technical drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation accurately.
Identify product or process non-conformities and support corrective action activities.
Adhere to all company quality standards, ISO procedures, and health and safety requirements.
Carry out basic maintenance, calibration checks, and housekeeping of tools, equipment, and workstations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean manufacturing and 5S activities.
Assist with the training and mentoring of colleagues when required.
Maintain effective communication with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
Contribute to achieving production targets while maintaining a high level of workmanship and accuracy.
Skills & Experience
Minimum of 1 year's experience in electronic or electro-mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience working with new product
Ability to work independently while following detailed instructions and specifications.
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and email.
Experience using ERP systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
Flexible approach with the ability to work across a range of products and adapt to changing business priorities.
