How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Order Processor / Administrator

    Location: Ipswich, Suffolk
    Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience)

    Chase Taylor Recruitment are working alongside a well-established and highly regarded manufacturer and installer within the window and door industry, who are looking to recruit an experienced Order Processor / Administrator to join their growing team in Suffolk.

    The Role

    This is a key office-based position supporting the sales, production and installation teams. You will be responsible for accurately processing customer orders from point of sale through to manufacture, ensuring all information is correct and projects progress efficiently.

    The successful candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate confidently with customers, suppliers and internal departments. Previous experience within the window and door industry, or a closely related construction or building products environment, is essential due to the technical nature of the role.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

    Accurately process customer orders for windows, doors and associated glazing products.

    *

    Review sales paperwork to ensure orders are complete, accurate and ready for manufacture.

    *

    Interpret technical specifications, surveys and order documentation.

    *

    Liaise with the sales team to resolve any specification queries prior to production.

    *

    Work closely with production and purchasing teams to ensure orders are scheduled correctly.

    *

    Maintain accurate customer and order records using the company's internal systems.

    *

    Coordinate amendments to existing orders and communicate changes to relevant departments.

    *

    Provide regular updates to customers regarding order progress and delivery schedules.

    *

    Respond to customer enquiries via telephone and email in a professional and timely manner.

    *

    Ensure all orders comply with company procedures and quality standards.

    *

    Assist with general office administration duties where required.

    *

    Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues to ensure an excellent customer experience.

    About You

    To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

    *

    Previous experience as an Order Processor, Sales Administrator, Customer Service Administrator, Office Administrator or Contracts Administrator.

    *

    Experience within the window and door industry is essential, or experience within a similar technical industry such as glazing, aluminium systems, building products, construction materials or manufacturing.

    *

    A strong understanding of window and door products and the order process would be highly advantageous.

    *

    Excellent organisational and time management skills.

    *

    Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure.

    *

    Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with customers, suppliers and colleagues.

    *

    Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

    *

    Experience using industry-specific software such as Business Micros, Windowlink, LogiKal or similar would be advantageous, although training can be provided.

    *

    A proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    *

    The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
