How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

With a supportive leadership team, excellent classroom resources and a collaborative staff culture, it's a fantastic place to develop your career. The senior leadership team will also be interviewing throughout the summer holidays to ensure they secure the very best staff for the new academic year.

    About the Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Special Primary (SEN) Teacher to join an outstanding specialist setting supporting primary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a caring and collaborative team where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. The school offers excellent resources, ongoing professional support and a positive working environment where staff are genuinely valued.

    * Create a nurturing, structured and inclusive classroom environment.

    * Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents and the wider multidisciplinary team.

    * Monitor and assess pupil progress, ensuring lessons remain engaging and accessible.

    * Contribute to EHCP targets, annual reviews and individual learning plans.

    * Promote positive behaviour, confidence and independence throughout the school day.

We're looking for someone who has:

    * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.

    * Previous experience teaching within a primary or specialist SEND setting.

    * A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

    * Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

    * A patient, adaptable and creative approach to teaching.

    * The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

Experience teaching pupils with Autism (ASC), SLD, PMLD, speech and language needs or complex learning needs would be highly desirable.

    Why Join Bright Star Talent?

When you register with Bright Star Talent, you're joining an agency that values long-term relationships with both schools and candidates.

    You'll benefit from:

    * Competitive weekly pay.

    * A dedicated consultant who will support you throughout your placement.

    * Access to exclusive vacancies with trusted partner schools.

    * A simple, efficient registration process.

    * Ongoing support before, during and after your placement.

    * Opportunities to secure long-term and permanent positions.
