How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Client: Working throughout several sectors including commercial, science & health, data centres, the business has seen a significant amount of growth in the last 5 Years. With a traditional engineering mindset and reinvestment into new principals, the business expects 2026 to be a similar period of growth. After a successful year they are now looking to increase turnover to £230M, consequently they are looking to expand their operations team. Despite their size, my client are a family owned and run business and this is a trait they pride themselves on with well over 80% of their clients using them on multiple occasions because of the nature of the business.
    Role: Electrical Project Manager - £90,000 – £110,000 + Package
    The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the electrical packages on a £38m commercial refurbishment. You will be reporting to a Senior PM and have a mechanical counterpart alongside you. You will be managing a team of site managers and engineers.
    Role/Responsibilities:
    · Take ownership of electrical services delivery on commercial office new-build projects.
    · Manage and coordinate the electrical design process to ensure compliant, practical, and programme-aligned solutions.
    · Oversee budgets, procurement activities, and subcontractor performance, identifying value engineering opportunities where possible.
    · Lead on-site works on a day-to-day basis, coordinating with the main contractor and other trades to maintain progress.
    · Ensure all installations meet UK Building Regulations.
    · Maintain high health and safety standards for mechanical works, including RAMS approval, permits, and subcontractor supervision.
    · Drive quality control through inspections, snag management, and defect close-out to achieve project completion.
    · Manage testing, commissioning, witnessing, and final handover of systems, including O&M manuals.
    · Act as the primary mechanical liaison with clients, consultants, and the project supply chain
    The ideal candidate:
    · Experience managing projects to a minimum of £10m within your own discipline
    · A minimum 3 years’ experience in a management role
    · The candidate will show longevity in previous employment
