The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing passive fire protection contractor in a key administrative and coordination role based in Wolverhampton. The business delivers fire door and compartmentation works across a range of sectors with a strong focus on compliance, quality and structured delivery.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in construction, social housing or refurbishment projects who is looking to move into or develop within a more office-based, compliance-driven position within the passive fire sector. Candidates must have prior experience working within construction, social housing or refurbishment environments — this is an essential requirement.
The Role
As Passive Fire Administrator, you will support the delivery of passive fire projects by managing documentation, coordinating works and ensuring all compliance processes are completed accurately and on time. You will act as the link between site teams, subcontractors and management, ensuring smooth communication and organisation across multiple live projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Support Contracts Managers with coordination and administrative duties across passive fire projects
* Raise works orders and manage project documentation
* Schedule subcontractors and engineers across multiple projects
* Collate installation evidence and assist with the preparation of certification packs
* Ensure all documentation aligns with compliance and regulatory requirements
* Maintain accurate records within internal systems
* Assist with audits and external inspections
* Prepare and issue handover documentation and O&M manuals
* Act as a point of contact for documentation and compliance queries
What We're Looking For
* Background in construction, social housing or refurbishment — essential
* Experience within passive fire protection (fire doors, fire stopping or compartmentation) — desirable
* Strong administrative and organisational skills
* High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment
* Experience working with contract management systems — desirable
* Knowledge of third-party accreditation schemes such as FIRAS, BM TRADA or IFC — desirable
* Understanding of fire safety regulations or construction environments — desirable
