How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Supply Chain Assistant | Growing Consumer Business | Manchester
    £30,000 + excellent progression opportunities

Are you looking to take the next step in your supply chain career and join an ambitious business where you can gain broad exposure and make a real impact?

We’re supporting a successful Manchester-based consumer business who are looking to strengthen their operations team with the addition of a Supply Chain Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to develop their skills across supply chain, logistics, purchasing, reporting and continuous improvement.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a varied supply chain function, supporting everything from stock management and supplier relationships through to reporting, analysis and process improvements.
You’ll work closely with key stakeholders across the business, gaining exposure to how products move through the supply chain and supporting the operational activity that keeps the business growing.

    What you’ll be doing:

Managing stock movements and ensuring inventory records are accurate
Supporting purchase orders and supplier communications
Working with logistics partners, suppliers and warehouses to coordinate inbound deliveries
Monitoring stock levels and highlighting potential risks
Creating regular reports to provide insight into stock position and operational performance
Supporting supply planning and S&OP reporting
Maintaining accurate cost files and supplier information
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
Supporting wider supply chain projects and product activity
    What we’re looking for:

Some experience within supply chain, operations, logistics, purchasing or a similar environment (ideally 6 months+)
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data (this is essential)
A naturally analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
Someone who enjoys problem solving and improving processes
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
A confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively
    The person we’re looking for:
This is a great opportunity for someone who is curious, driven and keen to build a career within supply chain. You’ll be joining a close-knit team where you’ll have the opportunity to get involved across the function, take ownership and develop your skills quickly.
The business has a collaborative, hands-on culture and is looking for someone who is happy to get stuck in, challenge ideas and bring energy and enthusiasm to the team.

    The role:
    📍 Manchester
    💰 £30,000
    📈 Excellent opportunity for progression
📊 Broad exposure across supply chain and operations
