Academics is looking for enthusiastic Newly Qualified Primary Teachers to work with fantastic schools across Monmouthshire from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers starting their careers who want to gain valuable classroom experience, build confidence, and develop their teaching style within supportive school environments.
Beginning your career in education is a big step, and finding the right environment can make all the difference. Through supply teaching, you can experience a variety of schools, work with different year groups, and discover what works best for you as a teacher.
Our team will support you throughout the process, helping you find placements that match your skills, preferences, and career ambitions. You'll have a dedicated consultant who understands the transition into teaching and will provide guidance and support throughout your induction year.
We're looking for teachers who:
Are completing their Primary teacher training in Summer 2026 or already hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Are passionate about creating positive learning experiences for children.
Can deliver engaging lessons and adapt to different classroom environments.
Build strong relationships with pupils and school teams.
Are confident, reliable, and keen to make a difference.
Are flexible and interested in working across primary schools in Monmouthshire.
Have an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or are willing to obtain one).
Are registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
Can provide two recent professional references.What you can expect from Academics:
