How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Deployment Engineer Role

The Deployment Engineer will be responsible for preparing, configuring, and deploying both new and refurbished laptops as part of a large device rollout. The project involves issuing 800–900 laptops within a tight deployment window, making this a fast-paced and rewarding opportunity.

Alongside deployment activities, you will also provide hands-on IT support to end users, ensuring an excellent customer experience throughout the deployment process.

    Deployment Engineer Key Responsibilities

Build, configure and deploy new and refurbished laptops.
    Configure devices using Windows Autopilot.
Ensure all required software and applications are correctly installed.
Reset and reconfigure returned devices ready for redeployment.
    Troubleshoot deployment and imaging issues.
Provide desktop and IT support where required.
Deliver professional, face-to-face IT support, providing excellent customer service and clear communication to end users.
Follow up with users after deployments or support requests to ensure issues have been fully resolved and provide a high standard of aftercare.
Work efficiently to meet project deadlines.

    Deployment Engineer Essential Skills

    Active SC Clearance (mandatory).
Previous experience in laptop deployment, desktop support, or IT support.
    Experience with Windows Autopilot.
Strong Windows 10/11 build and configuration knowledge.
    Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Outstanding face-to-face customer service and communication skills, with the ability to support users professionally and confidently.
Ability to build positive relationships with users, manage expectations, and deliver a high standard of customer care from initial support through to follow-up.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a secure environment.

    Contract Details

    Start Date: Asap
    Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: 8:00am–4:00pm (preferred) or 9:00am–5:00pm
    Lunch: 30-minute break
    Free parking available on site

    The Environment

You'll be joining a friendly, relaxed IT team with a range of personalities and a collaborative working culture.

If you're an SC Cleared Deployment Engineer available to start on immediately and enjoy hands-on deployment work while delivering excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you.
