The Role
Are you an ambitious, high-performing Senior Quantity Surveyor with an M&E background, looking to work on one of the most high-profile developments in London?
We are recruiting a Senior QS to join the commercial team on one of Europe's largest and most technologically advanced life sciences facility. Due to an internal promotion created by rapid growth, this role offers direct exposure to a landmark flagship project operating under a bespoke, JCT-style contract.
You'll be joining a dynamic, high-calibre team that actively promotes talent, making this an ideal platform for an ambitious QS looking for a clear trajectory to Commercial Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Delivery: Drive the commercial delivery of a major MEP package on a high-profile life sciences construction site.
Contract Administration: Manage applications for payment, variations, and compensation events under JCT-style contract terms to ensure maximum commercial entitlement.
Subcontract Management: Oversee subcontract accounts from procurement, interim valuations, and change management through to final account agreements.
Financial Reporting & Strategy: Deliver accurate commercial forecasting, risk/opportunity reporting, and budget control directly to senior commercial leadership.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with operational site teams and client representatives to protect commercial margins and maintain strong relationships.
What We're Looking For
Essential Criteria:
M&E / MEP Background: Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS within an M&E contractor environment.
JCT Contract Expertise: Solid experience managing commercial change and accounts under JCT or bespoke JCT-style contracts.
High Drive & Ambition: A fast-paced, sharp commercial mindset with the confidence to operate on a flagship project and the trajectory to step into a Commercial Manager position.
Qualifications: Degree, HNC, or equivalent industry experience in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management.
Package & Benefits
Base Salary: Up to £95,000
Allowances: London Travel Allowance or Car Allowance (depending on base location)
25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays
