How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

An established multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Architect to join their growing architectural team. This Senior Architect will take responsibility for delivering a varied portfolio of technically challenging projects across the public and private sectors. As Senior Architect, the successful candidate will lead projects from initial design through to completion, coordinating consultants and maintaining strong client relationships. The successful Senior Architect will also support junior team members and contribute to the continued development of the architectural service. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Architect seeking greater project responsibility within a collaborative consultancy. The Senior Architect will receive a salary of £48,000 to £55,000, alongside a competitive benefits package.

    The Company

The Senior Architect will join a well-established, multidisciplinary consultancy providing architecture, building surveying, engineering and property-related services. Their teams deliver projects across sectors including education, healthcare, residential, commercial and the wider public sector.

The consultancy has built a strong reputation for combining creative design with practical, technically robust solutions. They offer a supportive working environment where employees are encouraged to develop professionally, share ideas and take ownership of their projects.

    The Senior Architect Role

The Senior Architect will manage projects across all RIBA work stages, producing and reviewing design information while ensuring work meets client, statutory and technical requirements.

Key responsibilities will include preparing planning and technical drawing packages, coordinating external consultants, attending client and project meetings, managing programmes and overseeing work delivered by Architects and Architectural Technologists.

The Senior Architect will also assist with fee proposals, resource planning and the development of long-term client relationships.

    The Senior Architect

The successful Senior Architect will have:

ARB registration and a recognised Part 3 architectural qualification
Ideally, chartered membership of the RIBA
Previous experience delivering projects through multiple RIBA stages
Strong technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning requirements
    Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams
Proficiency in Revit and other relevant architectural software
Excellent communication, organisation and client-facing skills
The ability to manage several projects and competing deadlines

    Salary and Benefits

    Salary of £48,000 to £55,000
    Competitive company benefits
    Professional development and career progression
    Supportive multidisciplinary working environment
Exposure to a varied portfolio of projects
