How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the role

    Hours - This is an exciting opportunity as we have adapted the flexibility of this role to develop a healthy work/life balance for the successful candidate. The role will be Monday – Friday with some flexibility based on the individual.

    We have an opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our dynamic team within our children’s home in the Rhondda Cynon Taff area. Supporting up to 4 Young People with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties. All our homes are based in a semi-rural location.

    Your Role

    As a Deputy you will support the registered manager in the running of the home, ensuring compliance with regulation and statutory requirements, along with our organisations policy, procedures and ethos. You will be required to deputise in the managers absence, supporting staff in addition to the children and young people

    Requirement’s to be a Deputy Care Manager:

    Essential

    * QCF/NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent

    * Previous experience as a Deputy Manager or a Shift Leader, within a residential setting.

    · Full UK manual drivers licence

    · Minimum age 22

    · Passion to make a difference

    · Strong communication skills with internal and external agencies

    · Ability to remain calm and patient under pressure

    · Basic IT skills

    · Flexibility of working hours

    · Able to act as a positive role model

    · Knowledge & understanding of Statutory requirements & regulations

    · Knowledge & understanding of Health & Safety, and risk assessments

    Desirable

    · Level 3 qualification specific in Health & Social Care or Equivalent

    · Registered with Social Care Wales or must register within initial 6 months in residential care

    · Experience of working with children

    · Experience of residential childcare

    · Welsh Speaker
