About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join our growing groundworks team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out and engineering duties across a range of residential and commercial groundwork projects, ensuring work is delivered accurately, safely, and to programme.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out all setting out duties for groundworks and civil engineering projects.
Interpret construction drawings and extract setting out information directly from CAD models and drawings.
Use surveying equipment, including Leica TS16 total stations, to accurately set out works.
Verify line and level throughout construction.
Produce and maintain accurate site records, surveys, and as-built information.
Liaise with site management, clients, and subcontractors to ensure works are completed to specification.
Identify and resolve engineering issues on site.
Ensure all works comply with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Assist with quality assurance and quality control processes.
Essential Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Engineer within the groundworks or civil engineering sector.
Demonstrable experience using Leica TS16 Total Station.
Ability to extract coordinates and setting out information directly from CAD drawings/models.
Strong understanding of drainage, foundations, roads, kerbing, plot works, and external works.
Competent in reading engineering and construction drawings.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
Experience with GPS/GNSS surveying equipment.
AutoCAD knowledge.
CSCS Card (essential).
SMSTS or SSSTS (advantageous).
First Aid at Work (desirable).
