How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Site Manager

    An excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a major prison Fit out project at HMP Highpoint, Newmarket. This Site Manager role offers work through to December with an immediate start, overseeing a significant internal fit-out package for a leading Tier 1 contractor.

    About the role of Site Manager

    As Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the internal fit-out works across multiple areas within HMP Highpoint. Working closely with the wider project team, you will ensure works are delivered safely, to programme, and in line with the high standards expected on a secure government project.

    Responsibilities for Site Manager

    Manage the day-to-day delivery of internal fit-out works.
    Coordinate subcontractors and site teams to ensure programme milestones are achieved.
    Monitor health & safety compliance and maintain high site standards.
    Carry out quality inspections and ensure works are completed to specification.
    Liaise with the Project Manager, client representatives, and prison authorities.
    Track progress and resolve site issues to keep works on schedule.Requirements for Site Manager

    Previous experience working as a Site Manager on large-scale construction projects.
    Proven fit-out experience is essential.
    Tier 1 contractor experience is essential.
    Strong organisational and subcontractor management skills.
    SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications.
