How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Position: Site Manager

    Location: Birmingham City Centre

    Salary: £300.00 per day

Contract Type: Temporary - 8-10 weeks

    Start date: Monday 27th July

Working under the direction of the Lead Site Manager and alongside the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of the project from mobilisation through to completion. You will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This role is ideally suited to an individual with a proven background in fast-track retail fit-out, refurbishment, or commercial interior projects who is confident managing multiple subcontract trades, maintaining strong client relationships, and driving programme performance in a live construction environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

Support the Lead Site Manager in the day-to-day management and coordination of all site activities.
Plan, coordinate and supervise subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with the construction programme.
Maintain exceptional standards of health, safety and environmental compliance, ensuring company procedures and statutory regulations are adhered to at all times.
Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, daily briefings and regular safety inspections.
Monitor workmanship and quality, ensuring installations meet project specifications and client expectations.
Assist in managing site logistics, deliveries, material storage and labour resources.
Identify and proactively resolve site issues to minimise delays and maintain programme.
Liaise professionally with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors, maintaining strong working relationships throughout the project.
Keep accurate site records including daily diaries, progress reports, permits, inspections and quality documentation.
Assist with project handover, snagging, commissioning and practical completion.

    Essential Requirements:

Demonstrable experience as a Site Manager on retail fit-out or refurbishment projects.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing and subcontractor management.

    Valid CSCS Black Card.
    First Aid at Work qualification.
    Fire Marshal qualification.
    Asbestos Awareness certification.

If you have a strong track record in retail fit-out, take pride in delivering projects to the highest standards, and are looking to join a professional and collaborative team, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please submit your CV along with a brief summary of your relevant experience
