How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Troubleshoot assay performance and resolve scientific challenges efficiently.

    * Prepare high-quality project proposals, study reports, and scientific documentation.

    * Manage project timelines and contribute to successful client delivery.

    * Ensure the integrity, quality control, and traceability of all scientific data and associated records.

    * Support continuous improvement initiatives, SOP development, and process optimisation.

    * Contribute scientific expertise during client meetings, presentations, and commercial discussions when required.

    * Ensure compliance with GLP, GCLP, GxP, HTA, Health & Safety, and other applicable regulatory standards.

    About You

    Essential Requirements

    * BSc degree in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.

    * Minimum 3-4 years' work experience developing, analysing, and reporting high-quality research data using automated IHC platforms.

    * Proven ability to analyse scientific data and produce high-quality reports.

    * Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

    * Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.

    * Full right to work in UK

    Desirable Experience

    * Experience within a CRO, contract research, or biopharmaceutical environment.

    * Working knowledge of GLP, GCLP, or broader GxP regulations.

    * Current Hepatitis B vaccination.

    Personal Attributes We're Looking For

    * Scientifically curious and solutions-focused.

    * Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving.

    * Strong team player who can also work independently.

    * Ability to prioritise competing activities in a fast-paced environment.

    * High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.

    * Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic data management systems.

    The Working Environment

    * Site-based role combining laboratory and office activities.

    * Opportunity to work with cutting-edge research projects and technologies.

    * Some occasional flexibility needed to work outside normal business hours when required to support project delivery.

    * Ability to lift and carry laboratory materials and equipment where necessary.
