How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    PANEL BEATER

    Location: Bishop's Stortford
    Salary: Basic Salary £50,000 - £60,000+ DOE | OTE £70,000

    THE ROLE
    As a Panel Beater / Panel Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out high-quality accident repairs, ensuring vehicles are restored to manufacturer standards while maintaining productivity and attention to detail.

    Key responsibilities include:
    ·Repairing and replacing damaged vehicle panels using approved repair techniques.
    ·Carrying out structural and non-structural body repairs to manufacturer standards.
    ·Performing aluminium panel repairs and aluminium welding where required.
    ·Accurately assessing vehicle damage and planning effective repair methods.
    ·Working closely with Paint Technicians, MET Technicians and the wider Bodyshop team to ensure efficient vehicle turnaround.
    ·Maintaining excellent standards of workmanship, quality and health & safety compliance.
    ·Using specialist repair equipment and following manufacturer repair methods at all times.
    ·Completing repairs within agreed timescales while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

    ABOUT YOU
    We're looking for an experienced Panel Beater / Panel Technician who is passionate about delivering first-class repairs and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

    You will ideally have:
    ·Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Body Repair (NVQ, IMI, SVQ or ATA).
    ·Manufacturer training would be highly advantageous.
    ·Experience carrying out aluminium repairs and aluminium welding.
    ·Previous experience within a busy accident repair centre or Bodyshop.
    ·Excellent knowledge of modern repair methods and manufacturer repair procedures.
    ·Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently produce high-quality repairs.
    ·A positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
    ·A full UK driving licence.
