How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    You'll be leading a welcoming and established 7-bed residential service supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, epilepsy and Down's syndrome.

    What You'll Be Doing
    As Registered Service Manager, you'll:
    Lead the day-to-day operation of the service
    Inspire, support and develop your team
    Drive quality, governance and compliance standards
    Develop and review person-centred support plans
    Manage budgets and service performance
    Complete audits, reports and quality assurance activities
    Build positive relationships with families, local authorities and healthcare professionals
    Ensure compliance with CQC, legislative and contractual requirements
    Promote independence, choice and positive outcomes for the people we support
    Create and maintain a positive culture where colleagues feel valued and empoweredWho We're Looking For
    We're looking for a passionate and people-focused leader with experience in health and social care. Experience within learning disabilities and autism services would be highly desirable; however, we also welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds in supported living, residential care, mental health, complex care, older people's services, or similar care settings. Most importantly, we're seeking someone with strong leadership skills, a commitment to quality, and a genuine passion for helping people live fulfilling and meaningful lives. This opportunity would suit both experienced Registered Managers and ambitious Deputy or Service Managers who are ready to take the next step in their career.

    What You'll Need

    Previous management experience within health or social care
    Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
    Strong leadership and people management skills
    Knowledge of CQC regulations and quality frameworks
    Passion for person-centred care
    The ability to motivate and inspire teams
