How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Do you take pride in creating safe, clean and welcoming communities?

We're looking for an experienced and customer-focused Estate Officer to play a vital role in maintaining our neighbourhoods, supporting residents and helping our communities thrive.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be the visible presence across our estates, carrying out inspections, identifying repairs, monitoring contractor performance and ensuring residents live in safe, well-maintained environments they are proud to call home.

Please note: This role requires you to be based at our Brackley scheme for three days per week, where you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment for residents. This includes carrying out communal cleaning duties and supporting the management of bin stores and waste disposal arrangements, alongside the wider estate management responsibilities of the role.

If you're practical, proactive, enjoy working outdoors and are passionate about making a difference in your local community, we'd love to hear from you.

    About the role…

Using your technical skills, attention to detail and customer-focused approach, you'll help deliver safe, well-maintained neighbourhoods for our residents. Working closely with colleagues across Fairhive, you'll be a visible presence on our estates and a trusted point of contact for residents.

The key duties of the role will include:

    * Providing a flexible, responsive and high quality estate monitoring service to Fairhive’s housing estates and communal areas

    * Providing an on-site Estate Officer presence at our Brackley scheme three days per week, ensuring communal areas are clean, safe and well maintained.

    * Carrying out communal cleaning duties and supporting the effective management of bin stores and waste disposal arrangements.

    * Identifying required communal repairs and recommending cost-effective solutions.

    * Acting as a 'good neighbour' and first point of contact for resident enquiries about their homes and services.

    * Supporting the health & safety of residents living within our flatted blocks

    * Managing a patch of flatted blocks, ensuring safety, maintenance and estate standards are maintained.

    * Undertaking monthly health and safety inspections of communal areas of flatted blocks, following up on actions identified and ensuring items are dealt with promptly.

    * Making safe and reporting any Health & Safety matters which might constitute a danger on our estates

    * Monitoring cleaning and grounds maintenance contractors to ensure high estate standards and resident safety.

    About you...

We're looking for someone who is practical, proactive and passionate about delivering excellent services to residents and communities.

To be successful in this role, you'll be:

    * Numerate and literate, with practical minor repair skills across a range of areas

    * Physically fit and able to undertake the demands of the role, including lifting bulky items, working at height and working outdoors in varying weather conditions

    * Knowledgeable about current Health & Safety regulations and their application within the workplace

    * In possession of a valid UK driving licence

    * Organised, with excellent time management and problem-solving skills

    * Comfortable using basic IT systems and technology to carry out day-to-day responsibilities

    * Committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in the delivery of services

    * Friendly, approachable and confident communicating with residents, contractors and colleagues

    * Able to work independently while contributing positively as part of a wider team
