How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project Manager: Special Buildings

    Euston, London (hybrid)

We are looking for a Project Manager who is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of an Infrastructure Maintenance Depot, overseeing the design and construction of a major maintenance facility. You will be accountable for ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification, including the construction of a combined office/light workshop building and two over-track maintenance buildings.

    Resposibilities include:

Lead projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Manage project planning, design coordination, resources, programmes, costs, risks, and performance to achieve successful project outcomes.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and resolving issues collaboratively.

Oversee site teams, supporting staff development, performance management, and ensuring company procedures and values are upheld.

Identify and resolve design and engineering challenges, forecast resource requirements, and implement solutions to maintain programme performance.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and legal requirements while promoting best practice across all project activities

    Skills needed:

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging clients, joint venture partners, public authorities, utilities, and local communities.

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Extensive construction technology knowledge, including temporary works and the successful delivery of Design & Construct projects.

Experience managing supply chains and delivering projects under NEC contracts, with a collaborative approach to external relationships.

Comprehensive understanding of health and safety legislation and its practical application across construction projects.
