How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Offshore Planner – Barrow-in-Furness Gas Terminal

    Location: Barrow-in-Furness Gas Terminal
    Job Title: Offshore Planner
    Start Date: ASAP / ( Before 01/10/2026)
    Pay: £350–£450 per day PAYE (Dependent on Experience)
    Contract: Long-Term Opportunity (2+ Years)

    Land and Sea Resources are recruiting for an experienced Offshore Planner to join a major energy operator based at Barrow-in-Furness Gas Terminal. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for an Offshore Planner looking to play a key role in supporting safe, reliable, and efficient offshore operations.

    As an Offshore Planner, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining integrated asset plans, supporting offshore operations, and coordinating maintenance, projects, and operational activities. The successful Offshore Planner will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Projects, and Engineering teams to ensure work is planned, prioritised, and executed safely and efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Develop and maintain integrated offshore asset plans.

    * Produce and coordinate 28-day, 3-month, and 4-week operational plans.

    * Support daily offshore planning activities and operational prioritisation.

    * Coordinate maintenance, projects, operations, and decommissioning schedules.

    * Identify and manage SIMOPS conflicts and operational constraints.

    * Ensure planning aligns with safety, production, and asset integrity objectives.

    * Contribute to long-term 8-quarter planning and future resource forecasting.

    * Monitor planning performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

    * Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure plans are achievable and fully integrated.

    Requirements

    * Previous experience as an Offshore Planner within the Oil & Gas, Energy, or Offshore sector.

    * Significant experience using Primavera P6 and SAP.

    * Strong understanding of integrated planning within an operational environment.

    * Knowledge of Project Controls, including Planning, Cost, Risk, and Management of Change (MoC).

    * Experience managing SIMOPS and operational risk within planning activities.

    * Ability to coordinate complex schedules across multiple departments.

    * Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills.

    * Project Management or Planning qualifications are desirable.

    * Technical background and offshore operations experience would be advantageous.
