How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Maintenance Engineer (Days)

    £40,000 - £41,000 (OTE: £50,000) + Overtime + Training + Monday to Friday + Excellent Company Benefits

    Ideally Located: Preston, Blackburn, Leyland, Chorley, Darwen, Burnley, Bolton, Manchester, ETC

    Are you a Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias, looking to join a well-established company experiencing continued growth, in a role offering excellent overtime opportunities and a great work-life balance through a Monday to Friday days-based position?

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable business where you can significantly increase your yearly earnings through premium-rate overtime, while working as part of a close-knit engineering team.

    The company are a well-established manufacturer who continue to grow year on year, investing heavily into their facility with new machinery, production lines and increased capacity. Due to expansion, they are looking to recruit an additional Maintenance Engineer to support their existing engineering team.

    You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of manufacturing machinery, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, completing mechanical fault finding, and responding to electrical breakdowns.

    This role would suit a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer looking for a stable Monday-Friday days-based position, with excellent overtime earning potential and the opportunity to work within a supportive engineering team.

    The Role:

    Mechanical and electrical maintenance of manufacturing machinery
    Planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs
    Monday to Friday days-based (Early finish Friday)The Candidate:

    Basic electrical knowledge
