How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Manage and maintain company accreditations, including NICEIC.

    * Develop, review and implement compliance policies, procedures and technical standards.

    * Conduct compliance audits, inspections and investigations, ensuring corrective actions are completed effectively.

    * Provide technical advice and support to operational teams, managers and clients.

    * Monitor engineer competency and ensure works are allocated to suitably qualified personnel.

    * Produce compliance reports and analyse operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.

    * Develop and deliver technical training sessions, toolbox talks and compliance communications.

    * Build strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.

    * Promote best practice, continuous improvement and a positive Health & Safety culture throughout the business.

    Essential Skills & Experience

    * Extensive knowledge of electrical compliance within social housing, property maintenance or M&E environments.

    * Strong understanding of relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and accreditation bodies.

    * Proven experience managing compliance audits, inspections and regulatory investigations.

    * Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations.

    * Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret compliance and operational data.

    * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using digital compliance management systems.

    * Experience producing reports and using data to support decision-making and performance improvements.

    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

    * Highly organised with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

    * Relevant technical qualifications and professional membership (minimum EngTech or equivalent).

    * Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel as required.
