How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Bodyshop Paint Supervisor to join a busy, high-volume automotive operation. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work alongside technicians on the workshop floor, ensuring high-quality standards, efficient workflow, and a positive team culture.
If you have a strong background in vehicle paint, enjoy leading from the front, and are passionate about developing others, we'd love to hear from you.
    Key Responsibilities:
    - Lead, motivate and support a team of paint technicians to deliver safe, efficient, high-quality repairs.
    - Coordinate daily workloads and monitor progress to ensure productivity and quality targets are achieved.
    - Provide hands-on technical support, coaching and mentoring to develop team capability.
    - Promote high standards of workmanship, health & safety, and operational excellence.
    - Manage day-to-day people responsibilities including team briefings, attendance, holiday planning and performance management.
    - Resolve workshop issues quickly to minimise downtime and maintain workflow.
    About You
We're looking for someone who can combine strong technical expertise with confident leadership. You'll ideally have:
    - A minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience as a Vehicle Paint Technician.
    - At least 3 years' experience in a supervisory or team leader position within a bodyshop or similar technical environment.
    - A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
    - Strong organisational and communication skills.
    - Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel.
    - A full UK Driving Licence.
This is an opportunity to become part of one of the UK's leading automotive operations, supporting some of the biggest names in the motor industry. You'll join a business that invests heavily in its people, technology and facilities, offering long-term career stability and genuine opportunities for progression working in a modern, high-volume environment.
If you're looking for a hands-on leadership role with excellent work-life balance, ongoing investment and the opportunity to build a long-term career within a growing automotive business, this could be the perfect next step.
Please apply with an up to date copy of your CV and I’ll organise a confidential discussion
