How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We are working on behalf of a leading Tier 1 main contractor to appoint an exceptional Senior Project Manager for a landmark commercial office development in Central London.

This is a rare opportunity to join a flagship project from its earliest stages, taking ownership of the Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PCSA) before transitioning into the Construction Lead role as the project moves on site. Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will act as the number two on the project, playing a key role in shaping delivery strategy and leading a high-performing team.

    The Role

You will provide strategic leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring successful planning, procurement and delivery of a high-profile commercial office scheme. Initially, your focus will be on leading the PCSA phase, working closely with the client, consultants and supply chain to develop the construction methodology, programme and delivery strategy. As the project progresses to site, you will take on the role of Construction Lead, overseeing delivery and supporting the Project Director in the successful execution of the scheme.

    Key Responsibilities

Lead the project through the PCSA phase, driving pre-construction planning and delivery strategy.
Transition into the Construction Lead role, taking responsibility for successful on-site delivery.
Act as deputy to the Project Director, supporting strategic decision-making across the project.
Lead and develop a small project delivery team, fostering collaboration and high performance.
Build and manage strong relationships with the client, consultants and supply chain partners.
Oversee programme, commercial performance, quality, health and safety, and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure robust project controls, governance and reporting are maintained.
Drive proactive problem-solving and maintain momentum across all phases of delivery.

    About You

We are looking for an experienced and commercially astute Senior Project Manager who combines strategic thinking with excellent communication and leadership skills.

    You will have:

A proven track record delivering major commercial office developments.
Experience managing projects from pre-construction through to completion within a Tier 1 main contracting environment.
Strong experience delivering both new build and cut-and-carve commercial office schemes.
Experience leading PCSA phases and successfully transitioning projects into the construction stage.
Strong commercial awareness and a sound understanding of project controls, programme and risk management.
Experience leading and developing a small, high-performing team.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility at all levels.
A strategic mindset, capable of balancing the bigger picture with day-to-day project delivery.
A collaborative leadership style with the confidence to deputise for the Project Director on a flagship scheme. If you would like to hear more about this opportunity, please get in touch with Lily O'Regan from our London office.
