How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Behaviour Mentor
    Dudley (Clean driving licence and access to a car is essential)
    £110-£115 per day
    Start Date: ASAP
    Contract: Full-time, long-term temp-to-perm (Full Academic Year)

    Long Term Futures is seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join an Alternative Provision in Dudley, supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive outcomes.

    If you are calm, proactive, and confident managing challenging behaviour, this role could be an excellent fit.

    About the Role
    Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

    Providing targeted 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural needs
    Supporting students within lessons and in alternative learning environments
    Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies
    Building strong, positive relationships to improve engagement and attendance
    Supporting pupils to regulate emotions and successfully re-engage with learning
    Monitoring behaviour and progress, sharing feedback with relevant staff
    Encouraging positive behaviour, resilience, and social development
    Collaborating with staff to implement and maintain behaviour support plans
    Ideal Candidate Profile

    Experience working with KS3 and KS4 pupils, ideally within an Alternative Provision or similar setting
    Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
    Calm, patient, and resilient in challenging situations
    Able to build trust and rapport while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries
    Reliable and committed to a long-term role
    Proactive, adaptable, and a strong team player
