How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a recent Humanities graduate with a passion for education and inspiring young minds?

    A welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Greenwich is seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate considering a career in teaching to gain invaluable classroom experience in a supportive and ambitious school.

    The Role As a Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant, you will:

    Support students across History, Geography and Religious Education lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4.
    Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to help students achieve their full potential.
    Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
    Encourage student engagement and foster a passion for the Humanities.
    Support pupils with varying learning needs, helping to create an inclusive learning environment.
    Build positive relationships with students, staff and parents. The Ideal Candidate
    A degree in History, Geography, Politics, Philosophy, Religious Studies, or another Humanities-related subject.
    A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    A proactive, organised, and enthusiastic approach.
    Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
