Cost Controller

THE COMPANY

We are working alongside Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services (one-third of Aberdeen based PBS by Ponticelli).

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for assisting with the day-to-day financial control of assigned project/s ensuring adherence to budget and preparing cost estimates by analysing proposals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Assist with overseeing project costs throughout all phases of a project

* Prepare cost estimates by analysing proposals

* Create invoice documents and cost reports for both clients and internally for distribution

* Assist with reviewing contracts and purchase orders from clients to understand all aspects and dynamics affecting the project

* Assist with the confirmation, status and plan for job packages, hours and any other costs relating to the project

* Identify labour, material and time requirements and computing costs

* Assist with Month End closing

* Contribute to the continuous improvement of the cost control function and provision of robust financial reporting.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

Previous experience working in a cost control role, ideally supporting a large project.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to prioritise and plan work tasks accordingly to meet strict deadlines.

Ability to work within a collaborative team environment.

*

Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office
