Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Blackpool who are looking to appoint a number of Teaching Assistants from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, graduates considering a career in education, or individuals with relevant experience supporting young people who are looking to make a real difference in the classroom.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students both in and out of the classroom
Work closely with teaching staff to raise attainment and engagement
Provide 1:1 and small group interventions
Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEMH and SEND
Help promote positive behaviour and a safe learning environment
Build strong relationships with students and staff across the school
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Have previous experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
Be confident supporting students with varying learning needs and abilities
Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
Be enthusiastic, resilient and adaptable
Be passionate about helping young people achieve their potential
