How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Spray Painter - Permanent Night Shift

    Airdrie Up to £17.63 per hour Monday to Thursday 39 Hours Per Week

    We're recruiting Spray Painters to join a leading manufacturing business in Plains, Airdrie. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company offering a permanent night shift, competitive pay and genuine long-term career opportunities.

    Your Responsibilities

    As a Spray Painter, you will be responsible for:

    Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding and filling prior to painting
    Mixing paints and coatings to the required specifications
    Applying primer, base coats and top coats using spray painting equipment
    Achieving a high-quality finish while meeting production and quality standards
    Masking and protecting surfaces before painting
    Inspecting completed work to ensure a consistent finish and identifying any defects for rework
    Cleaning and maintaining spray guns, booths and painting equipment
    Assisting with setting up workstations and ensuring materials are readily available
    Following all health and safety procedures, including the safe handling of paints and chemicals
    Maintaining a clean and organised work area

    What We're Looking For

    Previous experience as a Spray Painter, Paint Sprayer or within an industrial, automotive or manufacturing paint environment
    Experience using spray painting equipment and working to a high standard of finish
    Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
    A positive attitude with a strong work ethic
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    Reliable and committed to working permanent night shifts
