How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Full-time Temporary Work
    Long-term Placement
    Start Date: 08/09/2026
    Location: Haringey, London, UK
    Salary: £90–£100 per day
Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates apply to candidates with significant experience and/or qualifications.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, term time only.

    About the Role:

We are recruiting two full-time SEN Teaching Assistants on behalf of a vibrant and welcoming two-form entry primary school in Haringey.

The school is looking for flexible, adaptable, and confident individuals who are willing to support pupils across Key Stage 2 rather than working exclusively within one year group. This is a varied and rewarding role that may involve providing 1:1 support, assisting within the whole classroom, and delivering targeted interventions during the afternoon.

Pupils may have a range of emotional, behavioural, and learning needs, including difficulties with emotional regulation and defiant behaviour. The successful candidates will be academic, confident in supporting the KS2 curriculum, and able to establish firm but fair boundaries.

The school values the individual strengths and personal qualities of its staff. Where a Teaching Assistant has particular expertise or excels in a specific area, the leadership team will aim to place them with pupils who will benefit most from those skills.

With a supportive senior leadership team, committed staff, and a strong local community, this is a wonderful opportunity to develop your experience and grow your career in education.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Providing 1:1 support to pupils with SEN, emotional, behavioural, and learning needs
    • Supporting pupils across different year groups within Key Stage 2
    • Assisting teachers with whole-class learning and differentiated activities
    • Delivering small-group interventions, including phonics support
    • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and challenging or defiant behaviour
    • Establishing clear routines, expectations, and boundaries
    • Promoting positive behaviour through a firm, fair, and consistent approach
    • Adapting support according to individual pupils strengths and needs
    • Monitoring and recording pupils progress, behaviour, and engagement
    • Working collaboratively with class teachers, the SENCO, support staff, and senior leaders

    Requirements:

To be eligible for this role and the stated rate of pay, applicants must have:

    • Experience supporting primary-aged pupils, preferably within Key Stage 2
    • A minimum of six months recent experience working with children in an educational, childcare, or youth setting
    • Confidence supporting pupils with SEN, emotional needs, learning difficulties, and challenging behaviour
    • Good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
    • Practical knowledge and experience of supporting phonics
    • Strong behaviour-management skills and the ability to set clear boundaries
    • A flexible and adaptable approach, with a willingness to work across different year groups
    • A positive personality and the confidence to take initiative
    • A clear commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
    • The right to work in the UK

    Our Client Can Offer You:
    • A welcoming and inclusive school community
    • A supportive and experienced senior leadership team
    • The opportunity to work within a vibrant two-form entry primary school
    • A varied role involving 1:1, classroom, and intervention support
    • Opportunities to use and develop your individual strengths
    • A positive environment in which to grow your career in education
    • A long-term placement with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to pupils progress and wellbeing
