Our client, a reputable organisation, is currently seeking a Principal Parking Engineer to join their highways team. This contract role involves overseeing parking design and management, contributing to the Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) rollout programme, and leading a dedicated team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading and managing a team of approximately 4 staff members.
Overseeing the development and implementation of parking schemes.
Administering the rollout of the Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) programme.
Delivering a range of minor parking schemes to improve traffic flow and parking accessibility.
Ensuring compliance with relevant policies, standards, and regulations.
Coordinating with stakeholders and the community to address parking-related issues.
Preparing reports and providing updates to senior management.
Hybrid working, with a mandatory presence in the Council on Mondays.
Job Requirements:
Extensive experience in parking design and management.
Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
Experience with the implementation and administration of Controlled Parking Zones (CPZ).
Strong understanding of highways and traffic management principles.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with at least two days per week in the Council.
Commitment to customer service and community engagement.
Relevant qualifications in civil engineering, traffic engineering, or a related discipline.
Contract Details:
3-month rolling contract, expected to last until at least the end of 2026.
Hybrid working arrangement.
