How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    2 talented Senior Quantity Surveyor required on a Freelance basis

    A renowned leader in luxury residential construction, known for delivering prestigious projects of exceptional quality and craftsmanship. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, they have established a reputation for creating iconic living spaces that exceed the expectations of their clients.

    They are seeking 2 highly skilled and experienced freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the project team and oversee the financial management of a luxury residential project. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of the project within budgetary constraints while maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Manage all aspects of cost management, including budget preparation, cost forecasting, and monitoring expenditure throughout the project lifecycle.

    * Conduct detailed cost analysis and risk assessments to identify potential areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

    * Manage subcontractor agreements to ensure favourable terms and conditions.

    * Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide accurate cost advice and support decision-making processes.

    * The Senior Quantity Surveyor will monitor project progress and variations, assessing their impact on costs and timelines, and providing timely reports to senior management.

    * Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and contractual requirements, including health and safety regulations.

    Requirements:

    * An academic construction qualification

    * Minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying.

    * The Senior Quantity Surveyor will have strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control techniques.

    * Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate meaningful insights.

    * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence key stakeholders.

    * Proficiency in industry-standard quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
