How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A leading international law firm is seeking a Corporate Paralegal to join its highly regarded London office. This is an excellent opportunity for a Corporate Paralegal with an interest in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and corporate transactions to develop within one of the world's most respected legal practices.

    The Corporate Paralegal's Role

    The successful Corporate Paralegal will support the Corporate team across a broad range of transactional matters, including:

    Assisting on private equity, M&A and general corporate transactions
    Preparing board minutes, written resolutions and corporate documentation
    Conducting legal and corporate due diligence
    Managing virtual data rooms and reviewing transaction documents
    Preparing due diligence reports, closing checklists and transaction bibles
    Supporting transaction signings, completions and post-completion requirements
    Coordinating Companies House filings and maintaining statutory registers
    Drafting correspondence and legal research notes
    Liaising with clients, counterparties and external advisers
    Assisting with business development materials and client presentations
    Monitoring transaction deadlines and ensuring matters progress efficiently

    The Corporate Paralegal

    The successful Corporate Paralegal will ideally have:

    A Law degree or equivalent legal qualification
    Previous experience as a Corporate Paralegal, Legal Assistant or within a transactional legal team
    A genuine interest in corporate law, M&A or private equity
    Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
    A proactive and professional approach
    Experience using Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
    Experience with virtual data rooms or Companies House filings would be advantageous
