How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join the delivery team on complex construction projects, with a strong focus on reinforced concrete (RC) frame and façade works.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Project Director, the role requires a proactive leader capable of managing multidisciplinary site teams, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.

This position is ideally suited to an individual with extensive experience delivering large-scale RC frame and façade packages who enjoys leading teams, driving programme performance, and maintaining exceptional standards of health, safety, quality, and compliance.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilisation through to project completion.

    * Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve programme and quality objectives.

    * Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with design specifications, statutory regulations and industry best practice.

    * Develop, monitor and update construction programmes, identifying delays and implementing recovery plans where required.

    * Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across the site.

    * Chair site meetings and provide accurate progress reports to senior management.

    * Coordinate site logistics and interface with local authorities, utility providers and other external stakeholders where required.

    * Monitor quality throughout the construction process, ensuring robust quality control procedures are implemented.

    * Work closely with commercial and project management teams to identify and mitigate project risks.

    * Lead, motivate and mentor site management teams, supporting the development of junior staff.

    Candidate Profile

    The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

    * Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager delivering major RC frame and façade projects.

    * Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large multidisciplinary site teams.

    * Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing, temporary works and site logistics.

    * Strong programme management skills with experience using Asta Powerproject, Microsoft Project or similar planning software.

    * Comprehensive understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and construction regulations.

    * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    * Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and manage project risks.

    * A meticulous approach to quality assurance and compliance.

    * Confidence in chairing meetings and producing clear, accurate reports.

    * Proficiency in digital construction management platforms such as Procore, SmartWaste and Microsoft Office.

    Essential Requirements

    * Extensive experience managing RC frame and façade construction projects.

    * Demonstrable experience leading site teams on complex construction developments.

    * Strong understanding of quality assurance and construction compliance.

    * Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining programme objectives.

    * Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.

    Desirable

    * Experience working on large-scale residential, mixed-use or commercial developments.

    * Experience mentoring and developing junior site managers and engineers.

    * Familiarity with modern digital construction management systems and reporting platforms
