How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client, a reputable organisation within the highways sector, is seeking a NRSWA / Streetworks Inspector to join their team on a contract basis. This role is offered on a part-time basis of 2 to 3 days per week and involves ensuring streetworks and highway projects comply with safety standards and regulations, contributing to the smooth and safe delivery of infrastructure developments.

    Key Responsibilities

    Conducting inspections of streetworks to ensure compliance with NRSWA regulations and safety standards.
    Carrying out highway safety inspections on ongoing projects.
    Assessing work sites for safety, regulatory adherence, and quality of works.
    Documenting findings meticulously and preparing detailed reports for internal review and external stakeholders.
    Participating in meetings to discuss streetworks planning, challenges, and resolutions.
    Collaborating with contractors and local authority teams to address issues and optimise project delivery.
    Monitoring progress and reporting on the status of streetworks projects.
    Providing guidance to ensure best practices and safety standards are followed throughout.

    Job Requirements

    Significant experience in conducting streetworks inspections and site assessments.
    Strong knowledge of NRSWA regulations, standards, and best practices.
    Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
    Effective communication skills for liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
    Attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspections.
    Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspections efficiently.
