The Senior Project Manager will manage projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams. This Senior Project Manager role would suit an experienced Senior Project Manager who is confident leading commissions, managing multidisciplinary teams, and supporting fee proposals for new opportunities. The Senior Project Manager's role
The Senior Project Manager will lead commercial, residential, and education projects through pre-contract and post-contract stages.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for project planning, programme management, consultant coordination, procurement, contract administration, risk management, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. They will chair meetings, monitor project performance, manage change control, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
The Senior Project Manager will also support the preparation of fee proposals, contribute to bids, maintain strong client relationships, and help secure repeat business. They may also mentor junior team members and support the continued development of the project management service.
The Senior Project Manager
The successful Senior Project Manager will have:
Prior experience working within a construction consultancy
Strong experience delivering commercial, residential, or education projects
Experience leading projects through pre-contract and post-contract stages
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or another relevant professional qualification
Good knowledge of JCT contracts and construction procurement
Experience preparing fee proposals or supporting bids
Strong client-facing, leadership, and communication skills
The ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and multiple commissions
A commercial, organised, and proactive approach
