How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Your new firm
Our client is a highly regarded and award-winning regional law firm with a strong reputation for advising entrepreneurs, owner-managed businesses, investors and corporate organisations across a broad range of sectors. Recognised in leading legal directories, the firm is known for delivering high-quality legal advice while fostering a collaborative and supportive culture. With continued investment in its Corporate team, the firm offers an excellent platform for lawyers seeking a strategic and knowledge-focused role within a growing practice.

    Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Corporate solicitor to join a thriving team as a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL). Working closely with partners and lawyers across the Corporate department, you will play a key role in maintaining technical excellence, supporting knowledge management initiatives and promoting best practice across the team. The position will involve drafting and maintaining precedents, templates and guidance materials, providing technical support on complex corporate matters, monitoring legal and regulatory developments, and ensuring lawyers remain up to date with market and legislative changes. You will also deliver training programmes, support the development of junior lawyers, contribute to thought leadership, and assist with business development and client-facing initiatives.Alongside this, you will support innovation and continuous improvement projects, helping to enhance processes, knowledge-sharing systems and legal technology adoption across the department. The role offers the opportunity to remain closely involved in high-quality corporate work while moving away from fee-earning pressures and focusing on technical leadership, collaboration and strategic development.

    What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified solicitor with strong experience in Corporate law, ideally gained within a leading regional, national or City firm. Applications are welcomed from existing Professional Support Lawyers as well as experienced Corporate fee earners looking to transition into a knowledge-focused position. You should possess excellent technical knowledge across corporate transactions, strong drafting and research skills, and the ability to communicate complex legal issues in a practical and accessible manner. The successful candidate will be highly organised, commercially aware, proactive and passionate about supporting the professional development of others.

    What you'll get in return
In return, you will join a forward-thinking firm that places significant emphasis on professional development, collaboration and flexibility. The firm offers a competitive salary and benefits package, hybrid working arrangements, performance-related incentives and the opportunity to play a strategic role within a respected Corporate team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer seeking a technically focused career path while remaining closely connected to high-quality transactional work.

What you need to do now
If you are interested in this opportunity or would like to discuss it further, please get in touch for a confidential conversation. If this role is not quite right for you, but you are considering a move within Corporate, Commercial or Professional Support Law, I would be delighted to discuss other opportunities currently available. We would expect a lawyer with the stated level of experience to have developed the appropriate skills for the role; however, applications from individuals with a broader range of experience are equally welcome.
